Frances Leary is a storyteller, published author and professional speaker whose MA in Folklore led to the development of a unique marketing approach that now serves as the foundation for her company, As the president and lead online strategist at Wired Flare, Leary develops and implements Internet marketing and social networking campaigns for franchises and corporations in North America.
Frances speaks internationally to inspire and educate audiences on subjects related to social media, online marketing, and the power of soulful communication. It is her focus on identifying why her clients do what they do and helping them make an impact on the world that has allowed her to be successful.
Frances was nominated for the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur of the Year in 2012 and 2013, the Progress Women of Excellence in 2013 and her company, Wired Flare, was a finalist for New Business of the Year 2013 with the local Chamber of Commerce. They are also a member of the Canadian Franchise Association and WeConnect Canada, which recognizes women-owned businesses internationally and supports supplier diversity.
In 2012 Frances founded the annual Wired Mic fundraiser for FEED Nova Scotia. She also volunteers for Breast Cancer Action Nova Scotia and volunteers time in the community as a mentor for local college students.
